Nice piece! I tend extend your argument to all non-specific adjectives like “bad”, “high”, “huge” or “risky”. Though then you usually end up with specific but overly long descriptions. These non-specific adjectives can then be used as short-hand when the specific story is too long to be worth the effort, or when it makes your text otherwise too long.
